Sucess Stories

PAUL ROBINSON Paul is currently studying in the second year of his Foundation Degree in Food Manufacturing and Management course whilst running a business in Alford, Lincolnshire. Despite the commitment of his business and obvious hard work that goes into running it, Paul has managed to complete all modules to date and is improving in the quality of his work. In addition to the pressure of the business and the course Paul has also gained his certificate as an NVQ assessor. He is currently in the midst of selling his business to pursue a career within new product development where he is able to use his talent as a creative chef alongside the knowledge he has gained from the course.

CHARLOTTE SMITH Described by her tutors as a “phenomenal all-rounder” 19-year-old Charlotte Smith has always dreamt of working in the hair and beauty industry. Enrolling on the Institute’s NVQ Level 1 Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy course at 16 she is now studying for her Level 3 (part-time). Charlotte, who was named student of the year in 2007, will represent the Institute in the UK skills competition to be held in London in June. SOPHIE BRETT Sophie is currently studying for her A2 levels in Psychology, Sociology and Law. She is completely committed to her course and works extremely hard, the work she produces is outstanding. Sophie has recently completed some social work experience at BASS, which was extremely successful. She has matured into a bright and enthusiastic young woman.
