An exciting range of courses that provide a strong career foundation
To train good teachers requires staff who are constantly in pursuit of excellence. The Grimsby Institute is fortunate to have such tutors and as a result, we consider ourselves one of the best places to study a number of professional teaching certificates.
As more students choose careers in teaching, we are constantly developing our courses to satisfy the increase in demand. Whether you want to teach Primary Level or move into Adult Education, we are certain there will be a course for you.

- BA Honours
- Education and Training
- Duration: 3 years for honours, 2 years for unclassified.

- Educational Administration
- Duration: Through day-schools. There will be 6 day schools per year.
Through on-line learning, using the web.
Projects that are work based supported by a local tutor.

- Learning Support
- Duration: 3 years part time study - Evening classes together with more flexible forms of learning such as independent study, online study and work-based learning.

- In-service
- Certificate in Education (Lifelong Learning) and In-service Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (Lifelong Learning)
- Duration: Attendance requirements include :
Weekly sessions of 3.5 hours duration for 34 weeks each year, for a maximum of two years.
In addition to attendance at the tutor led group sessions there are additional requirements in relation to tutorials, mentor meetings and teaching practice. - Find out more about this course here
