UCAS
For full-time entry onto any of the Higher Education programmes, you must apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) by the end of June in the year you wish to start your studies (late applications will be considered for the majority of courses).
All courses can be found on the website: www.ucas.com or alternatively, the paper directory of courses, if not available from your local school, can be obtained, at the cost of £6, by writing directly to UCAS (address below). The UCAS code for The Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education is G80 GRIMC.
Applicants are encouraged to apply on-line through the UCAS website, although it will still be possible to apply using a paper application by writing to UCAS at:

or email app.req@ucas.ac.uk
Once you have completed an application form (on-line or paper) a copy of it is sent to the institutions that have been applied to. The admissions tutor for the course will then carefully read the application, check to see if the entry requirements for that course have already been met or are likely to be met and then make you an offer.
This may be specific to a subject (for example a C grade at English) or you may have to gain a number of UCAS points (points equivalent to a certain grade at A Level for example). The conditions of the offer will then be logged with UCAS who will then advise you of what is required to gain entry onto the course.
If an offer is not made and the application is rejected, this too will be logged with UCAS.
