Construction Courses

An exciting range of courses that provide a strong career foundation

If you have thought about being part of the construction industry you will probably have noticed the amount of skilled workers needed to create one building. From the site manager to bricklayers and painters and decorators, everyone has to work as part of a team which is why, at the Grimsby Institute, we offer highly practical courses for you to learn how to become a valuable team member.

Courses include everything from decorative brickwork techniques and health and safety to joinery theory, principles and construction science. Basic courses will give you a firm foundation on which to build new skills for your chosen specialist area, whether you go straight into a working team or choose to take your skills onto other courses or into Higher Education.

  • Introduction to Working in the Construction Industry - Carpentry and Joinery
  • Duration: Full time - over 2 and half days per week (10 hours).
  • Level 1
  • Introduction to Working in Construction Industry - Carpentry and Joinery
  • Duration: Full time - over 2 and half days per week (12 hours).
