Mechanical Engineering Courses
An exciting range of courses that provide a strong career foundation
Mechanical and electrical engineering are very different subjects so be sure that when you are choosing a course that it is right for you and your future ambition.
In simple terms, mechanical engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with designing, constructing and operating machinery. Electrical engineering is the design, control and maintenance of electrical systems associated with mechanical engineering. Both types of engineering tend to appeal to those with an enquiring mind and good fault finding skills, after all it will be you who has to fix vital machinery that could cost a company thousands of pounds if it doesn’t work.
As a result, the Grimsby Institute has combined theory and practical skills to come up with a course that is perfect for anyone wanting a career in the subject, giving you a good, solid base on which to build new skills and applications. Our goal is to make sure that by the time you have completed your training, you can fix anything.
