PAUL ROBINSON
Paul is currently studying in the second year of his Foundation Degree in Food Manufacturing and Management course whilst running a business in Alford Lincolnshire. Despite of the commitment of his business and obvious hard work that goes into running it, Paul has managed to complete all modules to date and is improving in the quality of his work. In addition to the pressure of the business and the course Paul has also gained his certificate as an NVQ assessor. He is currently in the midst of selling his business to pursue a career within new product development where he is able to use his talent as a creative chef alongside the knowledge he has gained from the course. |

Dave is currently the head of Business Development for Equity Insurance Brokers. Dave embarked upon the MBA qualification to develop his strategic decision making to allow him to operate at a senior level. The MBA has provided Dave with the confidence and knowledge to undertake further responsibilities and influence the direction of the organisation, by combining his own knowledge and skills with management theory to produce positive actions. Dave said: “The MBA is a significant commitment, demanding focus and effort to achieve the maximum benefit; however the whole experience has been fantastic and helped me exceed expectations within my previous role leading to a promotion to my current role. The structure of the programme at the Grimsby Institute allows me to manage my work and study time extremely effectively, with the classroom environment creating both a support and true team environment.” |

Donna Wilson
Donna Wilson is a Human Resources Manager at Linkage Community Trust and currently studying in the final year of her MBA. Despite the difficulties in managing the workload with all the additional reading, assignments and exams, Donna has strived to be organised and progressed immensely. She said: “I decided to undertake the MBA because I wanted to broaden my knowledge of business particularly in strategic management. Thanks to the course I am able to undertake the same work, but do it better, as it has enabled me envisage the same problem from a much wider perspective.” |
