Grimsby and Surrounding Area

Grimsby is located on the central east coast of the United Kingdom and has a population of approximately 160,000 people. Grimsby was founded on the fishing industry and in days gone by, was one of the largest fishing ports in the world. Today Grimsby supports major food processing, chemical and petroleum companies using our extensive ports as an export gateway to Europe and the world.

Like the rest of the UK the weather here is probably significantly different from your home country. Summer and Spring offer pleasant temperatures varying from about 18C to 26C whilst Autumn and Winter see temperatures varying from 15C to 5C. During Winter sometimes there are snow falls. It is advisable to bring warm, waterproof outdoor clothing with you.

The surrounding countryside presents plenty of opportunities for outdoor leisure activities. The beautiful and serene Lincolnshire Wolds, the curious coastlines and sandy beaches offer much to explore by bicycle or on foot.
