Welcome to The Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education’s - Food Refrigeration & Process Engineering Research Centre (FRPERC).

We are delighted to announce that the research centre has now transferred to Grimsby after 18 years operating as part of the University of Bristol, and invite you to explore our new website. The history of FRPERC can actually be traced back to September 1967, for more information, see our History of FRPERC page.

Research by staff at FRPERC has resulted in over 900 publications covering many of the storage and production processes of food manufacture. This website has been designed to review, celebrate and conserve this research and report on our latest research and findings from our re-established centre in Grimsby.
