The Purchasing Department is responsible for ensuring that best value for money is achieved when acquiring the goods and services needed to deliver world class education.

This is undertaken in line with EU/UK Public Procurement Legislation, as well as the Institute's Financial Regulations and Procurement Strategy.

Whilst the rules are very strict on how we select suppliers, we are always mindful of the local economy and endeavour to use local suppliers whenever possible.

During the 2009 academic year we are implementing an electronic tendering system. This system will ensure transparency, and will provide a clear route to becoming a supplier to the Institute. Registration on this system takes a couple of minutes and is totally free of charge.

Once registered you will receive email notification of any tenders within your area of expertise. There are many benefits to you using this system.
