Whether you are looking to embark on a new career, develop a hobby or enhance your career prospects, the Institute’s Hospitality department has a wide range of options including our inspiring Junior Chef Academy.
Junior Chef Academy
Young people aged 12-15 are gently introduced to the exciting world of foods and cuisines from around the globe, where they get to work in an industry kitchen with professional chefs and also get to take home what they have prepared.
Places are booked up quickly so don’t miss out, enrol today.
- Entry Level
- Hospitality Junior Chef (12-15 year olds)
- Duration: 8 weeks, one day per week.

- BIIAB Award in Responsible Alcohol Retailing
- Duration: One day course held at the Institute.

- Award in Food Safety in Catering
- Duration: 9 hours (16-18) or 7 hours (19+).

- Award in Barista Skills 7102-02
- Duration: Part time.
It is recommended 20 learning hours should be allocated for this unit.
It is strongly recommended that candidates new to producing espresso-based drinks spend time outside these hours practising their skills under supervision of their manager/supervisor. - Find out more about this course here
