Humanities & Science Courses

An exciting range of courses that provide a strong career foundation

Humanities and Science is a key curriculum area for the Grimsby Institute and due to its continuing success looks set to expand in the future.

Whether you are working towards a Degree in English Studies or a BA in Sociological Studies our courses are designed to present a challenge to keep you interested throughout your time at the Institute.

Depending on your area of study we cover everything from the great British novel through to cognitive psychology, the sociology of religion and globalisation, all deeply interesting subjects that are guaranteed to set your mind racing.

After the tsunami of 2004, some of our sociology students embarked on the trip of a lifetime and travelled to India to deliver a fishing boat, donated by the Grimsby Institute, not only was this a real eye-opener for the students, it proved to be a real help with the 'Effects of natural disasters' unit of their course.
