Hair & Beauty Courses

An exciting range of courses that provide a strong career foundation

One of the most creative departments at the Grimsby Institute is the hair and beauty section which has much to offer those wanting a career as a stylist or beauty therapist.

NVQ Hairdressing courses will teach you everything from shampooing and conditioning to client care and reception duties giving you a good foundation for further studies. Once you progress on to higher levels you will experience work in a real salon and learn many different styling techniques, making your skills apealing to future employers.

Beauty therapy courses are highly practical and cover a vast array of treatments, including waxing, manicure, pedicure and facials.

If you are having trouble deciding which course to do, for the really adventurous we also offer a course combining both hair and beauty therapy. This enables you to cover both subjects at NVQ Level 2 meaning you don’t have to compromise your artistic flair.
