Train to Gain
Train to Gain is run by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), the organisation responsible for delivering the Government’s skills strategy in England.The Workforce Development team is responsible for the delivery of the Train to Gain contract which is a demand led initiative funded by the government. Aimed at up-skilling the workforce and addressing identified skills shortages, Train to Gain supports adults employed by companies to achieve their first full Level 2 qualification.
The funding allows the Institute to work in a variety of occupational areas including Engineering, Health, Public Services & Care, Hospitality and Business Administration & Law.
A Wide Range of Training is Available
NVQs that the Institute are currently delivering include Health & Social Care, Professional Cookery, Food & Drink Service, Business & Administration, Team Leading, Spectator Safety, ITQ, Customer Service, Cleaning & Support Services, Food & Drink Manufacturing Operations and Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Petro-Chemical Operations.
