The Grimsby Institute is involved in a wide range of international project work throughout the World.

The United Nations have now approved the start of a new research programme in Indonesia. Led by the Institute, this will involve a study on the economics of seafood trade between both of our countries. A preliminary visit to the Institute during early 2008 will plan the research programme and will be hosted by the Indonesian Minister of Trade and the Director General of Fisheries. The Grimsby Institute will also lead discussions on potential Masters students attending the new Humber Seafood Institute.

The Grimsby Institute is forming links with a range of academic institutes in Bangalore, India, set up by our Governor, Kori Raj, and the Principal & Chief Executive, Professor Daniel Khan OBE. The Institute is also hosting a visit by the Principal of one of the leading MBA colleges in Bangalore who wish to partner with ourselves. The Grimsby Institute’s Vice Principal presented an overview of our programmes to 200 MBA students and specific scientists and technologists interested in attending our Institute.

The Grimsby Institute has agreed to work with a charitable foundation – Depalaya - to assist underprivileged Indian children to develop careers. The Institute team have now met with the local Rotary Club to form a partnership in support of the Delhi education and enterprise programme.

In association with the United Nations, the Institute continues to provide support for fisheries departments in countries such as Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda to ensure they meet export regulatory requirement.
