Immage Studios is an important facility for the Institute’s media provision and offers an excellent range of facilities for hire by media professionals and corporate clients. The 2,700 sq ft air-conditioned studio is suitable for many uses and has the capacity for audience participation of 100.

The Institute provides courses in the fields of digital video, broadcast, press and multimedia journalism, multimedia production, photography and professional writing for ages 14 years upwards.

The media team updates the skills of industry professionals, trains Postgraduates and Undergraduates to enter the industry and provides training for adults and school leavers at the start of their media education careers. The Grimsby Institute own and run our own television station, Channel 7, broadcasting to 100,000 homes in Northern Lincolnshire allowing students to gain work experience throughout their time with us. We have ongoing work placements on offer with ITV Yorkshire, BBC Lincolnshire & Yorkshire and the Press Association.

Commended by the media industry, educational inspectorates, awards panels and our own students, we employ a teaching team of experienced media professionals and have the largest and most up-to-date range of media production equipment in the United Kingdom.
