Fees & Funding

Tuition Fees
The Grimsby Institute Group has announced its intention to set its higher education tuition fees at £5,950 from September 2012. The Institute, which is one of the largest providers of HE in FE in the country, offers a wide range of Foundation, Honours and Masters Degrees to over 2,000 students each year. The £5,950 fee is around £3,000 less than the Government’s maximum fee limit and demonstrates the Institute’s continued commitment to offering outstanding quality higher education at an affordable price to its students.

The Institute works extensively with employers to develop its HE curriculum to ensure that all provision meets the needs of industry and responds to national skills gaps in key sector areas. Through well established partnerships with employers, we ensure that our learners graduate with the work-related skills required by industry. If you feel that there are any degree programmes, or short professional courses that you would like to see delivered at one of the Grimsby Institute Groups sites, contact the Main Reception at the University Centre Grimsby and give us your feedback.

There is plenty of financial support available for full-time students such as student loans, grants and scholarships. You may also be eligible for council tax relief and also a University Centre Grimsby bursary. Help is available or students with disabilities, children or adult dependants.

Refund Statement:
Higher Education fee rates are determined by the Institute Group on an annual basis.

Once a student signs an enrolment form there shall be no entitlement to a refund. This means the student will be liable for the full annual tuition fee.

Students in receipt of funding from the Student Loan Company (SLC) are only responsible for the payment of that portion of fees not paid directly by the SLC. The payment made by the SLC is dependent on the student being in attendance on 1st December, if any SLC funding is withdrawn the student will be responsible for any outstanding debt to the Institute.
