Professional courses
Certificate - Personnel Practice (CPP)
Duration: Part-time - 1 day per week.Total of 20 weeks.
This course is 'owned' by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and is suitable for those who have worked, or are currently working, within the personnel function. This could be as a personnel specialist or as part of secretarial or line management duties.
Entry Requirements
The CPP course is 'open entry' and does not require any academic qualifications, though candidates will need to demonstrate their aptitude to complete and benefit from the course.What you learn
The CPP course will include core areas such as Interpersonal and Interviewing Skills, Instructional Techniques, HR and the Organisation Context, and Performance Management. Students will be required to study outside class for approximately 2-4 hours per week.What next?
Possible progression to HNC/HND or professional level course of the CIPD.Human Resource Management or any management role requiring people management skills.
How is the course assessed?
Continuous assessment through a range of written assignments based upon the modules covered. Also there will be a work-based project, student led training sessions and oral presentations.Which campus?
