Certificate - Start IT (City and Guilds 4248 - 03) - Grimsby Institute Learning Centres
Duration: Attendance is on a flexible booking system, which will include facilitated sessions and a number of tutored sessions for which set times are given. All sessions are two hours in and vary between centres, (call for further details).
This course offers an excellent opportunity for beginners to have practical experience using a computer.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements.What you learn
You can choose to study either Word Processing and File Management OR the Internet and File Management. In the Word Processing option students will learn how to use a keyboard, create documents, save, close, print, spell check, edit and key in text. In the Internet option students will learn how to get onto and search the internet, security issues on the internet, setting up and using an e-mail account and creating a basic web page. In both modules students will also learn how to store files in an organised way.What next?
