Health, Social Care & Childcare courses
NVQ Level 3 - Health & Social Care
Duration: Thursday - 4 - 6 pm or 7 - 9pm.
These courses are designed to be studied by staff involved in domiciliary care, residential care and day care. The courses meet the requirements of the Care Standards Act 2000.
Entry Requirements
All learners must be in a care environment as the nature of the NVQ relies heavily on work based observation of learner competence.What you learn
NVQ3 Care mandatory units:HSC31: Promote effective communication for and about individuals
HSC32: Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the working environment
HSC33: Reflect on and develop your practice
HSC35: Promote choice, wellbeing and the protection of all individuals.
Optional Units offered are: HSC36, HSC37, HSC38, HSC39
What next?
There is a natural progression from level 3 to level 4 NVQ programmes.How is the course assessed?
