NVQ Level 4 - Children's Care Learning and Development
Duration: Part time evening (Tuesday 6.00pm-8.00pm).
This course is suitable for people already working in settings or services whose main purpose is children's care, learning and development with children aged between 0-16 and their families.
Level 4 qualifications recognise specialist learning and involve detailed analysis of a high level of information and knowledge in an area of work or study.
Learning at this level is appropriate for people working in technical and professional jobs and/or managing and developing others.
Entry Requirements
NVQ Level 3 Children's Care Learning & Development or appropriate Level 3 qualification in childcare. You also need to be employed and in a relevant senior job role.What you learn
9 unit qualification comprising 4 mandatory plus 5 optional:401 - Establish and develop working relationships
402 - Support policies, procedures and practice to safeguard children and ensure their inclusion and wellbeing
403 - Support programmes for the promotion of children's development
404 - Reflect on review and develop practice
What next?
Progression to Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies.Career opportunities include: Day care nursery manager; childminding network co-ordinator; advanced practitioner.
