How to Apply
For higher education (university level) courses
All applications to the Grimsby Institute of Further & Higher Education for admission to full time Higher Education courses are to be made through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) which provides the administration for all Higher Education applications. Entry to the UCAS Apply 2010 costs £19 for applications to multiple institutions or £9 for an application to a single institution. Our Admissions Officers are available to assist you with your application at any time during the process, telephone: 0800 328 3631. Applications can be made to UCAS via their website at www.ucas.com
Late Applications
It is possible to apply for courses through UCAS outside the normal application dates. Applicants are advised to contact the Higher Education (HE) Admissions & Administration office tel: 0800 328 3631. All late applicants will be considered.
Part-time Applications
If you are interested in our part time higher education courses, you can apply directly to the Grimsby Institute by completing and returning a part-time application form to the HE Admissions & Administration office. To download a copy of our part-time application form click here
If you are interested in our Teacher Training courses then you should contact our HE Admissions Office on tel: 0800 328 3631 to obtain the correct application form.
Interviews/Portfolios/Auditions
Most applicants are required to attend an interview before a decision is made about their application. If you are applying for an Art, Design, Performing Arts or Music course, you will be expected to provide us with a portfolio of work or audition at time of interview. You will be informed of the precise details prior to your interview. Alternatively, please contact the HE Admissions Office for information.
UCAS Extra
UCAS Extra gives applicants who have used all of their application choices, and are holding no offers from institutions, a chance to apply for further courses. To check the availability of our courses through UCAS Extra please check the UCAS website at www.ucas.com . UCAS will inform you if you are eligible for UCAS Extra and will give you details of how to use this facility.
Clearing
Clearing allows applicants who do not have a place at University/College to apply for a course that is suitable for them from July onwards. Applicants should contact our HE Admissions office on tel no: 0800 328 3631.

Postgraduate courses
All applications for admission to full and part time postgraduate courses (excluding teaching training courses) at the Grimsby Institute of Further & Higher Education are to be made through the UK Postgraduate Application and Statistical Service (UKPASS).Application forms are available via the online service www.ukpass.ac.uk.
