The Purchasing Department is responsible for ensuring that best value for money is achieved when acquiring the goods and services needed to deliver world class education. This is undertaken in line with EU/UK Public Procurement Legislation, as well as the Institute's Financial Regulations and Procurement Strategy.

Whilst the rules are very strict on how we select suppliers, we are always mindful of the local economy and endeavour to use local suppliers whenever possible.

As members of the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC), we also utilise a number of CPC Framework agreements for major commodity groups. This reduces costs and ensures compliance and value for money.
