The whole Institute will be open for you to see the workshops, studios, kitchens and salons. You will be able to view demonstrations of the skills that our students are learning as well as have a go at activities yourself. Speak to tutors and current students about the course and about career and University prospects for the future. Our Careers Advisors will be on hand to help you decide what career would be best for you and how to train for that career so do go and see them in main reception if you’re undecided. This is a great opportunity for you to find out about the options available when you leave school and to find out what would be best for you and your career aspirations.
As well as our technical and professional courses there will be information about our new sixth form – Career 6. At Career 6 you will be able to study A levels or a combination or A levels and a technical and professional BTEC in a specific career area. You can specialise in a programme of study in Health and Medicine, Engineering and Technology or Crime and Society choosing a combination of appropriate subjects in your chosen area.
